
Netflix today revealed the official trailer for Virgin River Season 7 arriving March 12, a year after Season 6 debuted in December 2024.
Season 7 will see the return of cast members Alexandra Breckenridge (My Secret Santa), Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy), Tim Matheson (Hart of Dixie), Annette O’Toole (Smallville), Colin Lawrence (Riverdale), Benjamin Hollingsworth (Code Black), Zibby Allen (A Pickleball Christmas), Sarah Dugdale (Season’s Greetings from Cherry Lane), Marco Grazzini (Christmas Under the Lights), Kai Bradbury (Motherland: Fort Salem), and Kandyse McClure (Hemlock Grove).
Virgin River Season 7 will also introduce new characters including Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) will play Victoria who Netflix describes as: “an ex-cop who was shot in the line of duty and now works for the state medical board as an investigator. Victoria comes to Virgin River to look into Doc’s practice, but she also runs into a friend with whom she wouldn’t mind catching up … or maybe even pursuing something more.”

Cody Kearsley (Daybreak) joins Season 7 as Clay, “the kind of guy who gets noticed when he enters a room. Clay has experience working the rodeo circuit, and he grew up in foster care with his younger sister, whom he hasn’t seen since he was a teenager. He’s been looking for her ever since.” Austin Nichols (The Walking Dead) will play a character Mel knows from her past.
Season 6 centered on the journey toward Mel and Jack’s highly anticipated wedding, and showrunner Patrick Sean Smith tells Tudum that Season 7 will “explore the honeymoon phase for them as they’re building their lives on the farm, which can come with its own obstacles.” The new season will also explore the other relationships in the series including Hope and Doc, Preacher and Kaia, and Lizzie and Denny.
