We recently interviewed autistic actress Lillian Carrier about playing Drea in Freeform’s Everything’s Gonna Be Okay. The show follows the story of an estranged brother who, after his father’s untimely death, becomes guardian to his two half-sisters, one autistic (Matilda), as they are left to cope with a devastating loss.

On Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, Lillian’s character Drea is also autistic and plays Matilda’s girlfriend, making them the first autistic, queer relationship on television. Another first, Lillian’s service dog Luke is the first actual service dog actor on television! Check out our interview below.
