We had the chance to chat with actress Barbara Alyn Woods on the Popternative show. Known for her roles in the television series One Tree Hill and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids, Barbara currently plays Mayor Michelle Cross in USA and Syfy’s series Chucky which premiered on October 12, 2021. Based on the Child’s Play film franchise, the series follows Chucky the doll as he commits a series of mysterious murders in a new city.

Chucky: The TV Series
Centered around the infamous demon doll’s untold origin story, the series follows Jake Webber (Zackary Arthur) a 14-year-old queer boy whose life has been turned upside down with the recent death of his mother. After purchasing the vintage Chucky doll at a yard sale, the picturesque town of Hackensack, NJ is thrown into complete mayhem as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s dangerous and duplicitous secrets.
