It’s been a month since the third season of Cobra Kai released on Netflix and the response is still amazing! As we continue to flood the website with Cobra Kai content, we like to shine a spotlight on many cast members from the Cobra Kai universe. This of course includes our chat with Annalisa Cochrane!
The creators of Cobra Kai, Josh Heald, Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz, do a fantastic job of creating dynamic characters that evolve as the show progresses. One of these characters is Yasmine, played by actress Annalisa Cochrane. At the beginning of the series, Yasmine was an alpha Barbie; an antagonist whose purpose was to make our favourite characters miserable. To her credit, Annalisa Cochrane’s convincing performance made her widely hated by the audience. After being absent from season 2, Yasmine’s character returned in season 3. This time around, something was different. The viewers witnessed Yasmine transition from one of the most hated, to someone you wanted to root for, something the show is extremely good at doing.
In our interview with Annalisa Cochrane (below), when asked about returning for season 3 she said, “I finally get to show a bit more of who Yasmine is. She’s not this cruel and horrible person. There’s more to her, she has humanity, I promise.” These characters aren’t just one dimensional; sometimes the lines of good and evil are blurred. A valid question that can be raised is whether she will join a dojo in season 4? It would be great to see Yasmine join in on the action!
