Showtime today announced that Golden Globe winner, Oscar and Emmy nominee Uma Thurman (Hysterical Blindness, Pulp Fiction) officially joined the cast of the the upcoming drama series Dexter: Resurrection starring Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under) in the titular role of Dexter Morgan.
Uma Thurman will play the series regular role of Charley, the Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater. A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.
Production for Dexter: Resurrection kicked off earlier this month in New York and the series is set to launch in summer of 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime.
Alongside Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman, the series also stars David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan, and Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan.
The new series is executive produced by Emmy-nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Nurse Jackie), who also returns to serve as showrunner, and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C. Hall also serves as executive producer along with Scott Reynolds (Dexter, Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Broad City, Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Search Party, Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Bad Monkey, Dexter: New Blood) serving as producing director.
