Netflix today revealed the official trailer for the upcoming limited historical drama series, Death by Lightning. The 4-episode series chronicles the rise of U.S. President James Garfield and his subsequent assassination by Charles Guiteau. Premiering November 6, the series is from creator Mike Makowsky (Bad Education, Take Me) and Executive Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (3 Body Problem, Game of Thrones).
Death by Lightning stars Michael Shannon (George & Tammy, Nocturnal Animals) as President James Garfield, Matthew Macfadyen (Succession, Deadpool & Wolverine) as Charles Giteau, Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, Devs) as Chester Arthur, Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid’s Tale, Get Out) as James Blaine, Shea Whighamas (American Primeval, Perry Mason) as Roscoe Conkling, and Betty Gilpin (American Primeval, GLOW) as Crete Garfield.
