HBO and Max today released the official trailer for the upcoming limited series The Penguin, at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The 8-episode limited series will debut weekly and premieres Thursday, September 19th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka The Penguin), the DC Studios series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ The Batman epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman in 2022. Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film

In addition to Farrell, The Penguin also stars Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs), Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s Runaways), Michael Kelly (Special Ops: Lioness), Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse), Deirdre O’Connell (Outer Range), Clancy Brown (Billions), Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), James Madio (The Offer), Scott Cohen (The 10th Kingdom), Carmen Ejogo (Your Honor), and Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy).

The series is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc, who writes and serves as showrunner, Craig Zobel, who directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.
