Sony Pictures today revealed the official trailer for the new family animated film, The Garfield Movie, premiering in theaters May 24th, 2024. The titular character is voiced by Chris Pratt (The Super Mario Bros. Movie), and the cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson (Secret Invasion), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible), Nicholas Hoult (The Great), Cecily Strong (Schmigadoon!), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), and Bowen Yang (Fire Island).
Mark Dindal (Chicken Little, The Emperor’s New Groove) directs with a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan and Mark Torgove (Raising Hope, Spin City), and David Reynolds (Finding Nemo, Mulan).
The Garfield Movie Synopsis
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
