The NBC crime procedural series The Hunting Party, starring Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest, Star Trek Beyond), is set to premiere with its second season on January 8, 2026 at 10 p.m. The official trailer was released yesterday as well as the announcement of guest stars for the new season. Season 2 will have 13 episodes and will also stream on Peacock.
Returning for Season 2 alongside Roxburgh are Nick Weschler (Revenge, Roswell), Patrick Sabongui (The Flash, Homeland), Josh McKenzie (La Brea, Filthy Rich), and Sara Garcia (Ride, The Flash).
Season 2 will feature several guest stars including Eric McCormack (Will & Grace, Travelers) and his son Finnigan McCormack, Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, Cheers), Niecy Nash-Betts (Monster, Claws), Liz Gillies (Dynasty, Victorious), and Jefferson White (Yellowstone, Civil War).
The synopsis for Season 2 of The Hunting Party reads, “The Hunting Party is a high-concept crime procedural about a small team of investigators led by former FBI profiler Rebecca “Bex” Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh). They’ve been assembled to track down and capture the most dangerous killers the world has ever seen, all of whom have just escaped from “The Pit,” a top-secret government prison that’s not supposed to exist. As Bex races to catch these killers before it’s too late, she’ll discover the one thing more twisted than the dangerous fugitives she’s chasing is the prison itself that they just escaped from…because “The Pit” wasn’t just a prison.”
