Apple TV+ today dropped the official trailer for the new action thriller series, The Last Frontier, starring Jason Clarke (Oppenheimer, Zero Dark Thirty) who also executive produces.
Created by Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist, Perfect Stranger) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call,Thir13en Ghosts), the series will premiere globally on Friday, October 10 with the first two episodes. New episodes will drop every Friday through December 5.
The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Clarke), the lone U.S. marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged barrens of Alaska. Remnick’s jurisdiction is turned upside down when a prison transport plane crashes in the remote wilderness, setting free dozens of violent inmates. Tasked with protecting the town he’s vowed to keep safe, he begins to suspect the crash wasn’t an accident, but the first step of a well-crafted plan with far-reaching and devastating implications.
The series also stars Dominic Cooper (The Gold, Preacher), Haley Bennett (Swallow, The Girl on the Train), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs, Echo), Tait Blum (For All Mankind, Home Team), and Alfre Woodard (Star Trek: First Contact, 12 Years a Slave).
