IFC today revealed the official trailer (below) for the upcoming shark-themed thriller, Dangerous Animals, coming to theaters on June 6.
Directed by Sean Byrne (The Devil’s Candy, The Loved Ones), it stars Jai Courtney (The Suicide Squad, Divergent), Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone, Tacoma FD), and Josh Heuston (Dune: Prophecy, Heartbreak High).

Harrison plays Zephyr, a rebellious surfer who is abducted by a shark-obsessed serial killer (Courtney) and held captive on his boat. She must figure out how to escape before he carries out a ritualistic feeding to the sharks below.
“It was the rare combination of serial killer and shark film. A high concept that would be highly marketable and couldreally cut through. However, the more I thought about it, the more excited I got about the chance to make a shark filmwhere the shark isn’t the obvious antagonist. I thought, if JAWS turned the shark into a monster then this could be thelong overdue film to correct the cruel misconception by pointing the finger at the real monster: man,” says director Sean Byrne.
