Hulu today releasd the official trailer for the upcoming limited series, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox. The series is inspired by the true story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.
Premiering on August 20 with the first two episodes, the series stars Grace Van Patten (Tell Me Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers) as Amanda Knox, Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters, Catastrophe) as Amanda’s mother,
Edda Mellas, John Hoogenakker (Dopesick, Waco: The Aftermath), Francesco Acquaroli (Suburra: Blood on Rome, Sara: Woman in the Shadows) as Italian prosecutor Giuliano Mignini, Giuseppe De Domenico (Bang Bang Baby, ZeroZeroZero) as Knox’s ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, and Roberta Mattei (Never Too Late, Sweet India) as detective Monica Napoleoni.
Created and executive produced by KJ Steinberg (This Is Us, Gossip Girl), new episodes stream Wednesdays on Hulu with the series finale set for October 1.
