Jigsaw is back (kind of). Tobin Bell returns for the next installment of the horror franchise Saw, with Saw X set for release in theaters on September 29th – just in time for spooky season. The official trailer was released over the weekend by Lionsgate which gives us a look at John Kramer’s (Bell) past.
Saw X Synopsis
The most chilling installment of the Saw franchise yet explores the untold chapter of Jigsaw’s most personal game. Set between the events of Saw I and II, a sick and desperate John travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. Armed with a newfound purpose, John returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through a series of ingenious and terrifying traps.
Directed by Kevin Greutert (Saw VI, Jessabelle), Saw X also stars Shawnee Smith (Saw II, Saw III), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok, Haunted), Steven Brand (Vikings: Valhalla, Hellraiser: Revelations), Michael Beach (Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown), and Renata Vaca (Rosario Tijeras, Dale Gas).
