Brainstorm Media today released the official trailer for the upcoming Irish neo-noir, Barber, set for release in select theaters and on demand September 22nd. Co-written and directed by Fintan Connolly (Trouble with Sex, Flick), Barber stars Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Mayor of Kingstown) as Val Barber, a private investigator hired by a wealthy widow to find her missing granddaughter. Barber’s initial investigation quickly darkens as secrets begin to surface in unexpected ways. Fiona Bergin (Trouble with Sex, Flick) serves as co-writer with Connolly, as well as producer.
In addition to Aidan Gillen, the film also stars Aisling Kearns (Fair City, Darklands), Gary Lydon (The Banshees of Inisherin, The Clinic), Helen Behan (Intruder, The Virtues), Deirdre Donnelly (Legend, Ballykissangel), Liam Carney (Fair City, Braveheart), Camille O’Sullivan (Rebellion, Mrs. Henderson Presents), Desmond Eastwood (Normal People, Blood), Nick Dunning (Wreck, The Tudors), Isabelle Connolly (Domina, The Other Lamb), and Steve Wall (The English, Vikings).
