Prime Video today released the official trailer for the upcoming action comedy, The Pickup, premiering globally on the streaming platform on August 6.
Directed by Tim Story (Ride Along), the film stars Eddie Murphy (Beverly Hills Cop), Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Ismael Cruz Cordova (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Jack Kesy (Claws), Keke Palmer (One of Them Days), Andrew Dice Clay (Pam & Tommy), Marshawn Lynch (Bottoms), and Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i. It is written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider (Gentlemen Lobsters).
The synopsis reads, “In the action-comedy The Pickup, a routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when two mismatched armored truck drivers, Russell (Eddie Murphy) and Travis (Pete Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by a savvy mastermind, Zoe (Keke Palmer), with plans that go way beyond the cash cargo. As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse.”
