Netflix today revealed the official trailer for the upcoming mystery thriller series, The Beast in Me starring Claire Danes (Full Circle, Homeland) and Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Perry Mason). All 8 episodes of the miniseries will premiere on November 13. The series comes from writer, showrunner, and executive producer Howard Gordon (Homeland, 24).
The Beast in Me also stars Brittany Snow (The Hunting Wives, Pitch Perfect) and Natalie Morales (Dead to Me, Battle of the Sexes) with guest stars Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad), David Lyons (Truth Be Told, Revolution), Tim Guinee (The Staircase, Inventing Anne), Hettienne Park (Black Rabbit, Hannibal), Deidre O’Connell (Eddington, The Penguin), Aleyse Shannon (Leverage: Redemption, Black Christmas), Will Brill (Fellow Travelers, The OA), Kate Burton (Ransom Canyon, Grey’s Anatomy), Bill Irwin (Rustin, The Dropout), Amir Arison (The Blacklist, Dope Thief), and Julie Ann Emery (Better Call Saul, Preacher).
The synopsis reads, “Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs (Claire Danes) has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Jarvis (Matthew Rhys), a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”
