Netflix today released the official trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2, set to debut January 16, 2025 on Netflix. The adult animated series is spin-off of the Castlevania animated series, which is also based on the video game series of the same name.
The 8-episode second season will see many of the characters from the first season set in 1792 France return including including Richter (Edward Bluemel), Maria (Pixie Davies), Annette (Thuso Mbedu), Edouard (Sydney James Harcourt), and Tera (Nastassja Kinski).
Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 Logline: Now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time. Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.
On what viewers can expext from season 2, showrunner Kevin Kolde told Tudum, “What I can confidently say is in store for the fans is the biggest, craziest Castlevania fight scene ever.”
Creator and showrunner Clive Bradley went on to tell Tudum where the new season takes the characters,”Alucard’s research into Sekhmet has taken him to an ancient Egyptian temple, and we were flown there a few times.”
