Ahead of its May 22 theatrical release, Paramount Pictures today revealed a new featurette for the supernatural horror Passenger, from director André Øvredal (The Last Voyage of the Demeter, The Autopsy of Jane Doe).

Written by Zachary Donohue (The Unknowable, The Den) and T.W. Burgess, Passenger stars Jacob Scipio (Maintenance Required, Bad Boys: Ride or Die), Lou Llobell (Foundation, Voyagers), and Melissa Leo (The Fighter, Prisoners).

The synopsis reads, “After a young couple witnesses a gruesome highway accident, they soon realize they did not leave the crash scene alone, as a demonic presence called the Passenger that won’t stop until it claims them both turns their van life adventure into a nightmare.”

In the featurette, Leo’s character delivers the chilling line, “People don’t take trips, trips take people.” The unease deepens with behind-the-scenes footage filmed on the very grounds where the real-life Green River Killer once hunted his victims, leaving the cast and crew visibly unsettled.
