It was announced today that New Line Cinema’s The Nun II will make its streaming debut on Max next Friday, October 27, just in time for Halloween. The next chapter in The Nun horror franchise hit theaters on Friday, September 29th and is the highest grossing entry in The Conjuring universe. The Nun II is set in 1956 France where a priest is murdered and an evil is spreading. The sequel follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun. 

Taissa Farmiga (The Gilded Age, The Final Girls) returns as Sister Irene, joined again by Jonas Bloquet (Elle, 3 Days to Kill) as Maurice, along with Storm Reid (Missing, Euphoria) as Sister Debra, Anna Popplewell (The Chronicles of Narnia movies) as Kate, and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun, The Conjuring, Drag Me to Hell), surrounded by an ensemble cast of international talent.

Michael Chaves (The Curse of La Llorona, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It) directs, from a screenplay by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Eli) and Akela Cooper (M3GAN, Malignant), with a story by Cooper, based on characters created by James Wan (Saw, Malignant) and Gary Dauberman (Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation).
