We were joined on the Popternative show by Zoe Colletti (Only Murders in the Building, Fear the Walking Dead) and Van Crosby (Splitting Up Together, Roar) who star in the comedy action film, The Family Plan, dropping December 15th on Apple TV+.
Directed by Simon Cellan Jones (The Diplomat, Ballers), it also stars Mark Wahlberg (Father Stu, The Departed), Michelle Monaghan (Echoes, Gone Baby Gone), Saïd Taghmaoui (The Forgiven, Vantage Point), Maggie Q (The Protégé, Designated Survivor), and Ciarán Hinds (Belfast, Treason).
The Family Plan follows Dan Morgan (Mark Wahlberg), devoted husband, father of three, and successful car salesman. Decades earlier, he was an elite government assassin and enemies from his past are now tracking him down. Dan packs his unsuspecting wife (Michelle Monaghan), angsty teen daughter (Zoe Colletti), pro-gamer teen son (Van Crosby) and adorable 10-month-old baby into their minivan for a cross-country road trip to Las Vegas. Determined to protect his family Dan tries to put his skills into action without revealing his true identity to his family.
In our interview, Zoe and Van discuss the blending and balancing of comedy and action in the film, and the pace of shooting the project as a whole. They also touch on the funny banter between their characters as siblings.
