Disney today debuted the official trailer for the next installment in the Descendants franchise, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, premiering July 16 on Disney Channel and streams the next day on Disney+.
Reprising their roles are Kylie Cantrall as Red, Malia Baker as Chloe, Leonardo Nam as Maddox Hatter, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, Paolo Montalban as King Charming, Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts and Brandy as Cinderella.
New to the cast are Liamani Segura (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) as Pink, Brendon Tremblay (Near or Far) as Max Hatter, Alexandro Byrd (The Legend of Juan Jose Mundo) as Luis Madrigal, Kiara Romero (First Love) as Hazel Hook, Joel Oulette (My Life with the Walter Boys) as Robbie Hood, Zavien Garrett (Henry Danger: The Movie) as Felix Facilier, Ryan McEwen (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies) as Squirmy Smee, Dayton Paradis as Squeaky Smee, and Awkwafina (Raya and the Last Dragon) as the voice of Chessy the Cat.
The synopsis reads, “Now that the Queen of Hearts is nice and Cinderella is safe, things seem perfect for Red and Chloe … but little do they know that changing the past created a new villain: Maddox Hatter. When Maddox captures the Queen of Hearts, Red and Chloe must work with Red’s new sister Pink, Luisa Madrigal’s son Luis, Captain Hook’s daughter Hazel, and Maddox’s son Max to save her and Wonderland.”
Also released today is the latest single from the soundtrack, “Mad-Wicked Wonderland” available across streaming platforms. The official Descendants: Wicked Wonderland Original Soundtrack will be available on July 17 via Walt Disney Records and is available now to pre-save and pre-add.
