Netflix today dropped the official trailer for the new Western drama series, The Abandons created by Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy, The Shield), premiering December 4.
The series has a large ensemble cast led by Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, 300), Gillian Anderson (Sex Education, The X Files), Nick Robinson (Damsel, Love, Simon), Diana Silvers (Booksmart, Ma), Lamar Johnson (The Last of Us, Your Honor), Natalia del Riego (Promised Land, Hail Mar), Lucas Till (MacGyver, X-Men: First Class), and Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale, Speak No Evil).
Additional cast are Toby Hemingway (The Crossing, The Covenant), Michael Greyeyes (40 Acres, 1923), Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead), Katelyn Wells (Ginny & Georgia, Anne with an E), Clayton Cardenas (Mayans M.C., American Crime), Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open), Brían F. The logline reads, “Washington Territory – 1854 – The matriarchs of two very different families — one of wealth and privilege bound by blood, the other a found family of orphans and outcasts bound by love and necessity — find their fates linked by two crimes, an awful secret, a star-crossed love, and a piece of land with silver underneath. The collision echoes the American struggle of the haves and have-nots, in a place just beyond the reach of justice.”
