Ron Howard‘s (Hillbilly Elegy, Frost/Nixon) new survival thriller, EDEN, will release in theaters on August 22 via Vertical.
The all-star cast includes Jude Law (The Young Pope, The Talented Mr. Ripley), Ana de Armas (Ballerina, Knives Out), Vanessa Kirby (The Fantastic Four: First Steps, The Crown), Daniel Brühl (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Inglourious Basterds), and Sydney Sweeney (Anyone but You, Euphoria).
Set in the 1920s, EDEN “unravels the shocking true story of a group of disillusioned outsiders who abandon civilization, settling on a remote, uninhabited island only to discover that the greatest threat isn’t the brutal climate or deadly wildlife, but each other. As tensions spiral and desperation takes hold, a twisted power struggle unfolds, leading to betrayal, violence, and the deaths of half the colony.”
EDEN is written by Noah Pink (Tetris, Genius), and produced by Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13), Ron Howard, Karen Lunder (Hillbilly Elegy, Arrival), Stuart Ford (Voyagers, Woman of the Hour), William M. Connor (Hillbilly Elegy, Genius), and Patrick Newall (Extraction, The Old Man & the Gun).
