A24 has revealed a teaser trailer for Ari Aster’s next film, EDDINGTON, ahead of its world premiere at Cannes 2025. The Western-thriller-black comedy-horror will release in theaters on July 18.

Written and directed by Ari Aster, EDDINGTON stars Joaquin Phoenix (Beau Is Afraid, Joker), Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, Gladiator II), Luke Grimes (Yellowstone, American Sniper), Deirdre O’Connell (The Penguin, The Path), Micheal Ward (Top Boy, The Old Guard), Amélie Hoeferle (Night Swim), Clifton Collins Jr. (Nightmare Alley, Capote), William Belleau (Killers of the Flower Moon), with Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two Elvis) and Emma Stone (Poor Things, La La Land).

The film takes us back to the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic as the logline reads, “May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.”
