Netflix today dropped a first look teaser trailer and photos from the upcoming Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the live-action adaptation of the beloved Nickelodeon animated series.
Set to debut in 2026, (exact date TBD) Season 2 takes place after the bittersweet victory saving the Northern Water Tribe from the invading Fire Nation. Aang (Gordon Cormier), Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) are now on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King (Justin Chien) to help in their battle against fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

Season 2 will also introduce audiences to the fan-favorite character Toph Beifong, a blind Earthbending prodigy, who will be played in the live-action reimagining by Miya Cech (You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah).
Per Tudum, “She’s often underestimated due to her blindness and small stature, but as the teaser shows, her unique fighting style and seismic strength are not to be trifled with. We can’t reveal much more about the plot of Season 2 just yet, but trust the tremors — the next chapter will bend new ground.”
