Paramount+‘s supernatural mystery series School Spirits returned with its third season on January 28 and finds Maddie (Peyton List, Cobra Kai) and her friends in yet another mystery, this time revealing the veil between the living and the dead.
After returning to her own body, Maddie is plagued by frightening visions and the heavy burden of guarding both the living and the dead. At the same time, Simon (Kristian Ventura Gray Matter), who is trapped in the afterlife, gets consumed by the hidden truths etched into Split River High’s troubled past. As they dig deeper, the school’s long-buried secrets come to light, along with new and dangerous threats tied to Mr. Martin’s ominous warning.
Also returning for Season 3 are Spencer MacPherson (The Way Home) as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo (The Society) as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese (Dramarama) as Charley, Rainbow Wedell (The Bureau of Magical Things) as Claire Zomer, Josh Zuckerman (Oppenheimer) as Mr. Martin, Ci Hang Ma (Departure) as Quinn, Miles Elliot (Preacher) as Yuri, and Milo Manheim (Zombies) as Wally Clark. New cast this season include recurring guest stars Jennifer Tilly (Bride of Chucky) as Dr. Hunter-Price, Ari Dalbert (Friendship) as Kyle, and Erika Swayze (Workin’ Moms) as Livia.
We got to speak with with cast members Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Prichardo, and Rainbow Wedell about Season 3 and what audiences can expect as new episodes continue to drop weekly.
Season 3 promises a wild, unpredictable ride that expands the world with new characters, villains, and unexpected twists. As Xavier faces major reveals and possible supernatural breakthroughs, the story continues to blend coming-of-age drama with ghostly mystery, led in part by Nicole, who steps into a detective role. While the actors playing ghosts experience the show very differently from the “alive” cast, both remain enthusiastic fans, teasing that the new season will bring flashbacks and new, twisty storylines.
