Raymond Ablack returned as fan favorite Joe in season 2 of the hit Netflix series Ginny & Georgia which premiered on January 5. The coming-of-age series follows the complex relationship between Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her mother Georgia (Brianne Howey) with Ablack’s character owning the local Blue Farm Café along with being a love interest to Howey’s character Georgia.
Speaking with Popternative, Ablack shared how much of fan he is of Ginny & Georgia and what he does once he gets a new script. “It’s hard not to be a fan of the show while you’re on the show. So, yeah I am curious about the larger story and everybody’s character and their arcs and their stories, but I am a little bias for Joe,” Ablack said, adding, “When you get the scripts initially, let’s say in email or something, you do kind of like control F, find your character’s name, see what’s going on, and then you go back and read the whole thing. You want to know immediately what’s going on for yourself.”
One thing fans want to know is if Joe and Georgia will take their relationship to a new level. Ablack is on board with whatever direction the characters can go. “They could write anything, and I’ll always play it with desire for her because that’s just how I’m feeling, is a love for her, so that will always be there for me.”
