Production has officially wrapped in Charleston, SC for the fifth and final season of Outer Banks, due to premiere on Netflix in 2026. Production began in June 2025.
Returning series regulars for Season 5 include Chase Stokes as John B, Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Drew Starkey as Rafe Cameron, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Austin North as Topper, and Fiona Palomo as Sofia. Tony Crane, who plays Chandler Groff and Cullen Moss who plays Shoupe, will also return and have been upped to series regulars.
The final season of Outer Banks will pick up after the events of Season 4 where the Pogues built their own Poguelandia in the OBX only to end the season all the way in Morocco for in search for the Blue Crown. The season finale ended with the tragic death of JJ, who was stabbed by his estranged father, resulting in Kiara and the rest of the Pogues wanting vengeance for JJ’s murder.
“We are over the moon to be setting out on one last trip with the Pogues. Being back on set with our cast for this final round is nothing short of bittersweet and surreal. We can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store this season — it’s going to be a wild ride,” creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke previously tells Tudum.
The Season 4 finale “sets the stage for an epic fifth and final season,” they add, also noting that a plan for five seasons was always their goal: “we imagined a mystery that would lead to a five-season journey of adventure, treasure hunting, and friendship.”
