Prime Video has revealed the official trailer for the highly anticipated upcoming fifth and final season of The Boys. Season 5 will premiere on April 8, 2026, with two episodes, followed by a new episode each week through May 20.
Jensen Ackles will return as Soldier Boy in the final season and will be reunited with his Supernatural co-stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who both join the final season in unknown roles. Hamilton star Daveed Diggs also joins the final season as the character Oh-Father.
Also returning for Season 5 are Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie Campbell, Antony Starr as Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Tomer Capone as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko Miyashiro, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett, Cameron Crovetti as Ryan, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, Susan Heyward as Sister Sage, and Valorie Curry as Firecracker.
The synopsis reads, “In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen.”
