We were joined on the Popternative show by Mr. Lawrence and Jill Talley, the voices behind Plankton and Karen Plankton in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. The latest film, Plankton: The Movie, premiered on Netflix on March 7 and follows Plankton as his world is flipped upside down when his plan for world domination is thwarted.
Based on the series created by Stephen Hillenburg, the voice cast also includes Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), and Rodger Bumpass (Squidward).
In the film, Plankton’s tangled love story with his sentient computer wife (Karen) goes sideways when she takes a stand — and decides to destroy the world without him.
