We were joined on the Popternative show by Madison Bailey to discuss the highly anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s Outer Banks, which premieres with part 1 on October 10. Part 2 will premiere on November 7 with the remaining 5 episodes.
Following last season’s 18-month flash-forward showing Wes Genrette’s proposal for the Pogues to find Blackbeard’s treasure, season 4 takes viewers back in time to the lead-up of that moment. After finding the gold at El Dorado, the Pogues return to the OBX and commit to having a “normal” life by building themselves a “Poguelandia 2.0.” After experiencing financial issues, they take on on Genrette’s offer, but will soon encounter dangerous new enemies.
The season 4 cast also includes Chase Stokes as John B., Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Drew Starkey as Rafe, Austin North as Topper, Fiona Palomo as Sofia, J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff, Pollyanna McIntosh as Dalia, Brianna Brown as Hollis Robinson, Rigo Sanchez as Lightner, Mia Challis as Ruthie, and Cullen Moss as Deputy Shoupe. Fiona Palomo has been upped to a series regular as Sofia.
On what fans can expect this season without getting into spoilers, Madison tells us, “The relationships growing this year for me is one of my favorite things to watch. John B and Sarah have a really amazing arch this season, and Pope and Cleo are growing, and Jiara [JJ and Kiara] is ever growing.”
