Seth MacFarlane’s new Star-Trek inspired series, The Orville, is causing a bit of a divide between critics and viewers. Despite many negative reviews from critics, The Orville garnered impressive ratings during their series premiere on Fox on September 10.
Entertainment Weekly gave it a ‘C’ rating, and it currently has a 20% rating from critics and 80% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, it has a score of 36 (out of 100) from critics, yet has an average rating of 8 (out of 10) from viewers. Vox is not a fan of the series, and New York Post gave it 2 stars.
