Orion Pictures today released the official poster for the upcoming teen comedy film Bottoms, coming to select theaters on August 25. Director Emma Seligman reunites with Shiva Baby star Rachel Sennott as co-writers, with Sennott starring alongside Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Havana Rose Liu (No Exit), Kaia Gerber (Babylon), Nicholas Galitzine (Purple Hearts), Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession), and Super Bowl champ Marshawn Lynch.
Additional cast includes Ruby Cruz (Mare of Easttown), Virginia Tucker (The Last Champion), Zamani Wilder (Sacred Lies), Summer Joy Campbell (Roe v. Wade), Miles Fowler (Women of the Movement), Punkie Johnson (Saturday Night Live), and Wayne Péré (Your Honor).
Synopsis
Bottoms, a refreshingly unique raunchy comedy, focuses on two girls, PJ and Josie, who start a fight club as a way to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. Their bizarre plan works. The fight club gains traction and soon the most popular girls in school are beating each other up in the name of self-defense. But PJ and Josie find themselves in over their heads and in need of a way out before their plan is exposed.
Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman (Cocaine Bear, Pitch Perfect) and Alison Small (Cocaine Bear, Invasion) serve as producers with Ted Deiker (The Florida Project, Thoroughbreds) as executive producer, and music by Charli XCX and composer Leo Birenberg (Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Cobra Kai).
