Netflix today released a new trailer for the upcoming genre-bending film It’s What’s Inside, which combines comedy, horror, sci-fi, thriller and mystery. Written and directed by Greg Jardin (Cowboy Bebop: The Lost Session), and executive produced by Colman Domingo (Rustin, Euphoria), the film will premiere globally on the platform on October 4. “I’d say it’s a sci-fi thriller with jokes,” Jardin tells Tudum.
The It’s What’s Inside logline reads, “A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.”
“It’s about a bunch of friends [who] get together in a house. One of them brings up a body-swapping machine,” Jardin explains.
The ensemble cast includes Brittany O’Grady (The White Lotus), James Morosini (I Love My Dad), Gavin Leatherwood (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Nina Bloomgarden (The Resort), Alycia Debnam-Carey (The 100), Reina Hardesty (StartUp), Devon Terrell (Rap Sh!t), and David Thompson (Gotham).
