The latest installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise is its eighth film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, set to arrive in theaters on May 23. The latest trailer was revealed today, which is a follow up to 2023’s Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
The Final Reckoning once again sees Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt in what may be his “final” mission. Although, we never know what the future will hold for Ethan. In the newest trailer, we see Cruise taking on his own stunts at 62 years-old in an effort to take down “The Entity” introduced in Dead Reckoning Part One.
The cast, which includes both returning and new, includes Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Henry Czerny, Mariela Garriga, Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Tramell Tillman, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Rolf Saxon, Lucy Tulugarjuk, and Angela Bassett.
The plot is simple, according to the official logline: “Our lives are the sum of our choices.”
