A24 today released a new trailer (below) for Ari Aster’s nightmare odyssey Beau is Afraid. It stars Joaquin Phoenix (Joker, Her), Nathan Lane (Only Murders in the Building, The Producers), Amy Ryan (The Office, Birdman), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Lady Bird, Fences), Hayley Squires (Great Expectations, The Essex Serpent), Denis Ménochet (In The House, Inglourious Basterds), Kylie Rogers (Yellowstone, Home Before Dark), Armen Nahapetian (aTypical Wednesday), Zoe Lister-Jones (A Good Person, Life in Pieces), with Parker Posey (Lost in Space, Blade: Trinity) and Patti LuPone (American Horror Story, Hollywood). Additional cast includes Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark, Cherry), Julia Antonelli (Outer Banks), and Richard Kind (The Watcher, Spin City).

The film will be released in theaters on April 21.
