New Movies to Watch in June 2026

June is on its way, and with it comes the official kickoff to summer movie season. We can expect a mix of franchise revivals, nostalgic returns, and new horror releases to theaters and streaming platforms all month long. One of the month’s biggest talking points is the return of the iconic parody franchise Scary Movie, with the long-awaited sixth installment reuniting members of the original cast. Meanwhile, the ’80s franchise Masters of the Universe gets a live-action reboot.

Family audiences also have a major event movie arriving with Toy Story 5. This time, Pixar will explore how tablets and electronics are replacing tradtional toys. Horror fans won’t be left out either with the buzz surrounding Australian horror sensation Leviticus, which has already been earning rave reactions on the festival circuit.
