Netflix today announced the start of production of the 8-episode limited thriller series Wayward, from co-showrunners Mae Martin (Feel Good, The Flight Attendant) and Ryan Scott (Fear the Walking Dead, Servant), in the Toronto area. Euros Lyn (Heartstopper, Doctor Who) joins the production as executive producer and director (episodes 101, 102, 107, 108).
Cast members include Mae Martin, Toni Collette (The Staircase, Hereditary), Sarah Gadon (Coup!, Ferrari), Sydney Topliffe (Doin’ It, Davey & Jonesie’s Locker), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Chucky, The Spiderwick Chronicles), Brandon Jay McLaren (Snowfall, Graceland), Patrick J. Adams (Suits, Plan B), Joshua Close (Killers of the Flower Moon, Fargo), and Patrick Gallagher (Big Sky, Glee).
The logline reads: “Wayward is a thriller set in a bucolic but sinister town that explores the insidious underbelly of the “troubled teen industry” and the eternal struggle between one generation and the next.”
