Netflix today released an official teaser video and first look photo for the upcoming action thriller, Atlas, starring Jennifer Lopez (This Is Me… Now, The Mother).
The film will premiere on the platform May 24th, 2024 and also stars Simu Liu (Barbie, Shang-Chi), Sterling K. Brown (American Fiction, This Is Us), Gregory James Cohan (A Little Water, The VelociPastor), Abraham Popoola (The Curse, Extraordinary), Lana Parrilla (The Lincoln Lawyer, Once Upon a Time), and Mark Strong (1917, Kingsman: The Secret Service).
Atlas is written by Leo Sardarian (StartUp) and Aron Eli Coleite (Locke & Key, Heroes), and directed by Brad Peyton (Rampage, San Andreas).
The logline reads: “Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence, joins a mission to capture a renegade robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when plans go awry, her only hope of saving the future of humanity from AI is to trust it.”
Atlas is produced by Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson (Sweet Girl, Rampage) for ASAP Entertainment, Joby Harold (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Tory Tunnell (Underground, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) for Safehouse Pictures, Jennifer Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina (Hustlers, The Mother) for Nuyorican Productions, and Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (Riverdale, Red, White & Royal Blue) for Berlanti/Schechter Films.
