Netflix today released the trailer for the new limited animation series, Carol & The End of the World premiering December 15th. They also revealed the line up of guest cast who will voice characters in the series. Carol & The End of the World is created by Dan Guterman (Community, Rick and Morty)
The series stars Martha Kelly (The Great North, Baskets), Beth Grant (Dollface, Donnie Darko), Lawrence Pressman (Transparent, Doogie Howser, M.D.), Kimberly Hébert Gregory (Genius, Vice Principals), Mel Rodriguez (The Great North, The Last Man on Earth), Bridget Everett (Somebody Somewhere, Little Evil), Michael Chernus (Severance, Orange Is the New Black), and Delbert Hunt (Monster High, Into the Wild Frontier).
The guest cast includes Alison Brie (Somebody I Used to Know, Glow), Barkhad Abdi (The Curse, Captain Phillips), Danny Pudi (Mythic Quest, Community), Gillian Jacobs (Transatlantic, Love), Kurtwood Smith (The Dropout, That ’70s Show), Laurie Metcalf (Lady Bird, Roseanne), LeVar Burton (Perception, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Stephen Colbert (The Daily Show, The Colbert Report), and Tim Heidecker (Killing It, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!).
Synopsis: With a mysterious planet hurtling towards Earth, extinction is imminent for the people of the world. While most feel liberated to pursue their wildest dreams, one quiet and always uncomfortable woman stands alone — lost among the hedonistic masses.
Carol & The End Of The World is a love letter to routine. A show about the comforts of monotony. An animated and existential comedy about the daily rituals that make up the gaps that make up a life.
