Netflix today revealed a teaser for the upcoming film, Woman of the Hour, based on the true crime events of the 1970s. It will be released on the streaming platform on October 18.
The film stars Anna Kendrick (Alice, Darling, Pitch Perfect), who also makes her directorial debut. Woman of the Hour follows an aspiring actress in 1970s Los Angeles and a serial killer in the midst of a yearslong murder spree, whose lives intersect when they’re cast on an episode of The Dating Game.
Sheryl Bradshaw is on a bad date. In the brand-new teaser for Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut Woman of the Hour, Sheryl (Kendrick) is seated at a chintzy, tropical-themed bar, and her date (played by Daniel Zovatto) is starting to make her feel uncomfortable. He tenses at her laugh, sets his drink down a little too hard, and orders another round without checking with her. When his back is turned, she shakes her head at the server. Something isn’t right.
