Netflix Confirms Virgin River Season 7 Ahead of Its Season 6 Premiere
Virgin River is here to stay as Netflix today announced that the popular romance drama series will return for season 7. The news comes way ahead of the season 6 premiere set for December 19th. Patrick Sean Smith (Greek, Chasing Life) will return to season 7 as showrunner and executive producer.
Virgin River Season 6 Synopsis: “Against the backdrop of Mel and Jack’s romantic spring wedding season, this sixth installment promises fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past which will transport us to the magic and mystique of Virgin River in the 1970s.”
Virgin River season 6 series regulars are Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, Kandyse McClure, and Mark Ghanime.
Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and Callum Kerr (One Piece) will join the series as a young Sarah and Everett (Mel’s parents) in flashbacks as they meet and fall in love in the 1970s.
According to Tudum, “Seen in flashbacks mostly set in or around ’72, Sarah is a witty free spirit from the big city with an ardent passion for activism who’s trying to avoid the conventional and traditional life of a young woman. Always up for an adventure, she can’t help chasing an instant spark with a handsome musician who might just be her star-crossed soulmate. “
