
Netflix has revealed the release date and new photos for the upcoming comedy series, Running Point, starring Kate Hudson (Glass Onion, Almost Famous). Written and executive produced by Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen (The Mindy Project), the 10-episode series will premiere on the platform on February 27.
The synopsis reads, “When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is appointed president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business. Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board, and the larger sports community that she was the right choice for the job.”

The cast also includes Brenda Song (The Last Showgirl, Dollface), Drew Tarver (The Other Two, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$), Scott MacArthur (The Righteous Gemstones, The Mick), Fabrizio Guido (Mr. Iglesias, Perry Mason), Toby Sandeman (The Game, The Royals), Chet Hanks (Your Honor, Shameless), Jay Ellis (Insecure, Top Gun: Maverick), Max Greenfield (New Girl, The Neighborhood), Keyla Monterroso Mejia (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Freeridge), Roberto Sanchez (Dexter: Original Sin, Palm Royale), Uche Agada (Rise), and Dane DiLiegro (Imaginary, Prey).


The series is produced by Mindy Kaling’s Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Kaling is under an overall deal.
