Showtime announced that Neil Patrick Harris (Uncoupled, How I Met Your Mother) and Krysten Ritter (Love & Death, Marvel’s Jessica Jones) will have guest star roles in the upcoming series, Dexter: Resurrection starring Michael C. Hall in the titular role of Dexter Morgan.
Neil Patrick Harris will guest star in the role of Lowell and Krysten Ritter in the role of Mia.
Production for Dexter: Resurrection kicked off earlier this month in New York and the series is set to launch in summer of 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime.
Previously announced cast include Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, David Zayas, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, and Emilia Suárez.
The new series is executive produced by Emmy-nominee Clyde Phillips (Dexter, Nurse Jackie), who also returns to serve as showrunner, and produced by SHOWTIME Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C. Hall also serves as executive producer along with Scott Reynolds (Dexter, Jessica Jones), Tony Hernandez (Broad City, Emily in Paris) and Lilly Burns (Search Party, Russian Doll), with Marcos Siega (Bad Monkey, Dexter: New Blood) serving as producing director.
Most recently, Dexter: Original Sin, a prequel series that follows Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson) as he transitions from student to serial killer, debuted in December of last year and delivered the most- streamed Showtime premiere in history with more than 2.1M global cross-platform viewers. The series is now streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime.
