Creating a film no matter what the budget is never an easy feat and there are many factors that the average person may not realize go into creating the final product. Actress Morena Baccarin has worked in many genres of film from the superhero world of Deadpool and the Sci-Fi universe of Firefly, and in her recent work in Fast Charlie opposite Pierce Brosnan, she shared with Popternative some of the elements that went into making the film.
“Well when you read a script you don’t always know how it’s going to turn out obviously and there’s so many factors involved from the actors to the director to, you know, set deck and the overall production. But this film is a very straightforward journey, you know, like it’s a guy, he’s got to do a job, it gets botched, he needs the woman’s help to figure out how to deliver to his boss and then it all goes sideways. So I imagined it a certain way and once I got on the ground in New Orleans and had sort of the accent and the character and met Pierce [Brosnan] and talked to Phillip [Noyce], it all kind of converged and we were all very much on the same page about what kind of movie we were making. I think that the city too is quite a character in this piece and that sort of lively, you know, like the clubs, and the music, and the heat, and the drinks. All that lends itself to the feeling of the film.”
