Director Paul Greengrass’s film for Focus Features, The Uprising, has added more to the cast: Jamie Bell (Half-Man, All Of Us Strangers), Cosmo Jarvis (Warfare, Shogun), Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit, Last Night in Soho), Jonny Lee Miller (Sepia One, Elementary, Trainspotting) and Woody Norman (Sukkwan Island, C’mon C’mon).
They join Andrew Garfield (We Live in Time, Hacksaw Ridge) who stars as a legendary leader of a ferocious rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. As the war burns across England, he forms an army of the people to face the King’s might in a fight for justice and survival. Katherine Waterston was previously announced as joining the cast as well.
Jason Blum is producing through Blumhouse, alongside Gregory Goodman, Joanna Kaye and Greengrass. Lars Sylvest will also produce through Thank You Pictures and Joe Neurauter will produce through Supernix. Focus Features is set to distribute the film domestically.
