The original cast from 2010’s hit horror film Insidious return for a final time on-screen in Insidious: The Red Door, which premiered July 7 in theaters. Patrick Wilson also makes his directorial debut in the final Lambert story starring alongside Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne, Andrew Astor, Lin Shaye, and new cast members Daniel Sinclair and Hiam Abbass. Patrick Wilson, Ty Simpkins, Sinclair Daniel, and Lin Shaye joined us on the Popternative show to discuss The Red Door and their experiences on set.
In Insidious: The Red Door, “to put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and a college-aged Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.”

We asked Wilson all about directing for the first time and how he balanced it with acting; Simpkins discusses returning to the Insidious set for the first time since 2013, Sinclair on joining the franchise and bringing some comedic relief to her scenes; and Shaye discusses being part of the franchise and returning once again as Elise.
