We were joined on the Popternative show by Bill Lawrence, Jessica Williams, and Christa Miller to chat about the new Apple TV+ series Shrinking. Created by Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein, the series follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making tumultuous changes to people’s lives, including his own. The first 2 episodes premiered globally on January 27, and a new episode drops each Friday until the season finale on March 24.

Segel stars alongside Williams and Miller in addition to Harrison Ford, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell. The series also marks the third partnership for Apple, Lawrence and Warner Bros. Television, alongside global phenomenon Ted Lasso, and the upcoming drama series Bad Monkey.
Watch the interviews below where we discuss how the series manages to blend comedy with the serious theme of grieving.
A new episode of Shrinking drops every Friday on Apple TV+ with the season finale dropping on March 24.
