We were joined on the Popternative show by Yasmine Al-Bustami who stars as fan favorite Lucy Tara in the CBS NCIS spinoff NCIS: Hawaiʻi which is currently in its second season and has been renewed for a third. Yasmine also had a guest appearance on season one of the historical drama The Chosen as Ramah which led to her promotion as a main cast member in the third season.
The NCIS: Hawaiʻi ensemble cast also includes Vanessa Lachey as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant, Alex Tarrant as Kai, Noah Mills as Jesse Boone, Jason Antoon as Ernie Malik, Tori Anderson as Kate Whistler, and Kian Talan as Alex Tennant.

In our interview, Yasmine discusses Lucy’s character development over two seasons and preparing for filming new episodes of NCIS: Hawaiʻi.
“My favorite scripts so far to read, there’s obviously so many, but it’s been the ones where all of our characters have to converge to solve a problem, especially when it’s a two parter split into two episodes, just because there’s more time to breathe in terms of telling the story, there’s more time to insert a bunch of action, a bunch of emotional stuff, so that’s always fun,” Yasmine explains. She also talks about the fan base of NCIS: Hawaiʻi and the popularity of The Chosen.

NCIS: Hawaiʻi airs on CBS Mondays at 10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT and can be streamed on Paramount+.
