We were joined on the Popternative show by young actress Vivien Lyra Blair who stars in 20th Century’s latest horror thriller, The Boogeyman, alongside Sophie Thatcher (Yellowjackets) and Chris Messina (Based on a True Story). Vivien is best known for playing young Princess Leia in the 2022 Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi opposite Ewan McGregor, and for her role of “Girl” in the 2018 Netflix post-apocalyptic film Bird Box opposite Sandra Bullock.

Released in theaters on June 2nd, and based on the short story by best-selling author Stephen King, The Boogeyman follows high school student Sadie (Sophie Thatcher) and her little sister Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair) who are reeling from the recent death of their mother. When a desperate patient of their therapist father (Chris Messina) unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims. The film also stars Marin Ireland (Hell or Highwater), Madison Hu (Bizaardvark), LisaGay Hamilton (The Practice), and David Dastmalchian (Boston Strangler).
